Incredible Warrior Tricks

In honor of finally leveling my warrior and my second level 80 character, I decided to post the original Swifty PvP video as a tribute/too lazy to post something else. For those not in the know, Swifty is a level 80 Night Elf Warrior from Darkspear/Cyclone that has been making videos since vanilla WoW and has inspired the play of countless numbers of warriors playing the game today. When I originally was playing Enzminger back in the vanilla days the first few Swifty videos had come out, and together with a few other warrior videos already linked on this blog it helped shape my character as I was grinding out my Centurion rank before quitting all together.

Well, Swifty made it to Rank #13 and has an incredible playing setup now, so perhaps had my PC not overheated so many years ago who knows?! Anyway, check the nostalgia in the video and then be sure to spend some time on his Youtube site linked above, you’re going to learn quite a bit about playing as a warrior in WoW.

Bladestorm FTW

This post is simply done in celebration of finally setting the Arms spec on Enzminger. Until last night I had ran pure Protection from 60 to 75, doing everything from questing and dungeon crawls to PvP. Well, last night I went to the dummies by the stables in Orgrimmar and let loose of a few Bladestorms – dudes…I can’t wait.

I mean ya, it’s a long ways away and it’ll take a whole 5 minutes to transfer enough BoA honor from Vikt to outfit Enzminger once he reaches 80, but I can just imagine the cries of OP when someone who knows what they’re actually doing in a battleground uses this. For the longest time I have equated Warrior PvP to “Charge -> Bladestorm” much like I do Death Knight PvP when they Death Grip everything in the game as a sign of ultimate noobness, but now I’m excited at how well I may do with Enz in level 80 battlegrounds.

L80 Wrathful Hunter

Normally I post videos of PvP as I come across them in some fashion, but being that I have been unable to play as of late I admittedly forced the issue to find one. In reviewing the classes of what I have posted, I realized that I hadn’t posted a video of a badass hunter.

I hate hunters. I mean, my view of a hunter is absolutely some Night Elf jumping and flipping all over and trying to kite me, and this hatred stems all the way back to my days vanilla as a warrior. As a DK I don’t seem to have problems with them, but when fighting in groups they can wipe me out really quick. Fact is, a really good hunter is about your best friend on the battlefield other than your pocket healer.

Oh, and even harder than living through a hunter burning his cooldowns on you is finding a good hunter video on Youtube. My god there are horrible hunters out there. As a tip to prospective video … uhh, uploader-guys, if you keyboard turn, click buttons or backpeddle when kiting – just don’t subject yourself to the abuse.

This video is of Mohgrummar from Crushridge/Cyclone, who honestly I would assume is shooting most of this in PvE gear like the limitless number of people who want to pimp their gearscore in battlegrounds. Either way, his play is very good and the damage is reminiscent of the point I wanted to make in posting the video.

Unique Ironforge Raid

I’ve been known to don the occasional Gordok Ogre Suit in battlegrounds, but this city raid is the epitome of badass. Of particular note in this video is the setting up of camp in the throne room, the summoning spot on the ledge at the beginning of the video and then the firework and dance celebration at the end.

Organized World PvP events are just awesome.

Shadowmourne PvP

Posted in Battlegrounds, PvP Videos with tags on June 16, 2010 by Vikt

Yesterday’s post got me to thinking about what it would be like to carry one of these things into a battleground…you know, versus the occasional stud – but mostly against people building their gladiator sets. One search of “Shadowmourne PvP” on Youtube provided the answer.

The warrior in the video is Rival Angred, from Karazhan/Vindication on the EU side. The music sucks, but at least it’s not abrasive to the point you don’t want to listen like so many other videos. Be sure to take the time to load the 1080p version and watch fullscreen, as the damage I found can be a little difficult to follow unless you assumingly use the same mod setup to begin with.

The bladestorm at the end the video is awesome.

Syzygy, Arcane Mage PvP

Posted in Battlegrounds, PvP Videos with tags on April 24, 2010 by Vikt

As mentioned on my Twitter page I still have about 2 more weeks of scheduling hell, so until then updates may be far between. But, that doesn’t mean I that I can’t post a badass PvP video in my place.

See, the dirty thing that I do is post these videos of other classes and then show them to guys in my crew, in particular being Mandazar. Every time I post a video is makes him want to roll that class, and after leveling a druid to 80 he went back and rolled a mage because he wasn’t happy with him. Well, here’s finally a video for you that will reinforce your class decision.

No link for the actual mage because as it states at the beginning of the video, this account has been sold. However, it appears to that all pieces of gear came from Vault of Archavon and Honor.

And I apologize for the repetitive song showing up in the videos, apparently more people think that’s a cool song than me.

Destro Warlock PvP

If there is anything better than watching a well-played warlock in PvP, it’s a well-played warlock in PvP who owns at making videos. Enter Boneshock, a destruction warlock who clearly shows that the two can exist in the same.

The effects in this video are excellent, and the fact that it includes footage from battlegrounds and a lot of world PvP makes it that much better. This footage was taken around the time when the Isle of Quel’Danas was the way to progress prior to Wrath of the Lich King being released.

Oh, and before you ask, the wings are a client-side proc from the Vengeful Gladiator’s Felweave Cowl that was available from Arena Season #3.
